Belt Conveyor
The belt conveyor is suitable for the transport of any type of solid matters produced in a water treatment plant. It consists of a support frame of structural steel work with a section suitable for the belt sliding, struts of different size for the required frame inclination, a closed loop belt of wear proof material resistant to the atmospheric and chemical agents, a motor controlled roller for the belt driving, a set of support rollers and lateral guide for the belt, side boards for the containment of the transported material, a loading hopper and a gear motor.
There are different types of belt conveyors:
Moreover the large range of dimensions allows the choice of the most suitable belt conveyor, case by case.
The standard type of construction is in carbon steel protected by hot galvanization. On request it is possible to realize metallic parts in stainless steel.
Types of conveyors available:
- Trough belt conveyor.
- Flat belt conveyor.
1- The troughed belt conveyor is probably the most widely used and well known conveyor design of all types of belt conveyors. The troughed belt conveyor has proven to be a reliable and versatile conveyor in many applications and is probably more forgiving than most other types of conveyors when exposed to adverse
operating conditions. Improved technology supporting the design of conveyor systems together with innovations in component design and a better understanding of the dynamics prevalent in conveyor belts during operation, have propelled troughed belt conveyors into broader applications and higher conveying capacities.

2- Flat belt conveyor is used in typical Industries such as: Assembly Line | Food Manufacture and Processing | General Production | Parcel & Packing | Warehouse & Logistics
Description The traditional belt system for general lightweight carrying duties is used for the general movement of lightweight material, including food, packages, aggregates, powders, etc. Excels with smaller items, or items requiring very smooth and jolt-free movement.
Not suitable for very heavy items, or anything sharp and/or abrasive.
Strengths:
- High resistance and long life of the belt.
- Wide range of models.
- Optimum transport capacity
- Very low maintenance is required. Specially designed and manufactured for the transport of humid materials in the water treatment.
Advantages:
- Economical
- Durable
- High operational
- Safety
- Low Maintenance
