Mechanical screen (multi rack screen)
pumping stations and water inlet structures to capture solid materials which otherwise would be harmful to following processes and to the downstream equipment.
Clogging possibility is minimized by using several rakes which are lined on a pair of endless chains instead of one rake which is operated by an arm. Screen opening can be manufactured up to 5 mm, so it can be efficiently used for fine screening applications which need small screen opening.
The cleaning elements are attached to the chain system and can easily be adjusted to different requirements these elements can be conventional rakes, brushes, or plastic wipers. As the cleaning elements are changeable the screenings discharge capacity is then adjustable this option is especially favorable for high solids loads.
The installation height of the screen above ground level is very small and only dependent even in the case of deep channels on the installation height of screenings trans port or washing units

screen frame:
- It is the main structure of the screen and is made of stainless steel SS304, and SS316, Other mterial is made on request.
Screen bars:
- Bars are designed as rectangular cross-sections made of SS 304 or SS316, Other shapes or materials on request
Dead plate:
- It is formed from a stainless steel sheet and fixed to the upper main body by bolts. It is connected to the discharge chute by welding.
Discharge chute
- This part helps captured screenings to drop onto a conveyor or a container. It is made of stainless steel,
Other materials are on request. sheet and fixed to the dead plate by welding
Rakes:
- Rakes are manufactured from stainless steel and lined up on a pair of the endless chain. Rake edges are manufactured from PE to prevent friction between two metal parts for large bar openings.
- The PE part isnounted to the rake via bolts, so it can be replaced when the part is damaged or worn out.
Wiper:
- It is designed to clean the rake when discharging debris to the chute. Manufactured from steel or stainless steel wiper has a PE edge the same as a rake. The PE edge can be replaced when damaged
Chain mechanism:
- It contains two pieces of endless chain and two pieces of sprocket which are located at the upper section of the mechanism
Drive unit:
- The Drive system is consisting of a motor that has IP 55 class protection as standard and a gearbox to reduce motor output speed and supply suitable traveling speed for the rake system. It is directly mounted to drive shaft.
