Basket Screen
As stones and large objects present in sewers can destroy pumps and damage the inlet equipment of wastewater treatment plants, such objects have to be removed to ensure reliable operation. A basket Screen prevents such obstruction, the entanglement of debris, and damage to equipment as it removes the material.
The screen can be installed in a manhole before pumps, the size depending on the inflow rate and depth. The sturdy, stable basket screen retains the floating debris at the sewer outlet. When a certain amount of material has accumulated. the screen basket is lifted upwards by a chain drive. The vertical basket movement is supported by a stable carrier and guide rails.
